I have seen Comet milling machines before. I'm fairly sure Comet is a name put on some generic milling machine which should make parts available if you could figure out the Comet machine source. If my memory is correct there was a tool store or cataloge that sold Comet machines. Here is a machine dealer I would ask for information on Comet.

This is off a 3 hp comet mill. Its very greasy and dirty needs cleaning beyond what i can do. Many coats of paint rubbing off. 1 side plastic side guard is missing the other is broken. The last picture shows 1 point where damage is done. Looks like the pulley rubbed a spot on it. Other than that no cracks. Shipping is usa contact for other. B7023

Because I don't listen, I milled the slots with an end mill in a drill chuck. The drill chuck came off the taper and I ended up milling a very slanted slot that was about 1/8" deeper than I needed. Luckily I have a welder! I filled in the too deep pass with filler rod and then re-did the slots.
